I spent a few days watching bald eagles fish along the Mississippi River. It was a very thrilling but cold experience.

Excellent images. There used to be a group of FM photographers that shot the eagles of the Mississippi every winter. Someone brought a BBQ grill and everyone brought foods to cook and also used the grill to warm up.

One of the ringleaders of the eagle get together in the Quad Cities was Larry Williams. I believe he usually brought chilli to Lock and Dam 14. I spoke to Larry this afternoon, he called to wish me a happy birthday. Activity at LD14 has been down since the Corps of Engineers cut the trees down that that the eagles launched from. Just thought I would pass this along after seeing Morris's response.
