Gentlemen,
Being in Zion Np for 5 days, we figured the 80 miles to Bryce would be a good deal. Only went for a day, not long enough. Drove to Bryce, arrived mid afternoon, had lunch in the Bryce Lodge. It was buffet only, not a good deal for me, as I am a small eater.
Used the shuttles that afternoon and they are very useful, get on and off anywhere along the Rim Trail. Next day was a full day at Bryce but I was still sick so didn't go to Bryce until late afternoon. It was beautiful, mild, around 60 plus degrees and no wind at 8,000 ft elevation. Had a great time, just kicking myself for not going down into Bryce Canyon on the Navajo Trail, even just a short distance. It looked gorgeous down there. Leave enough time for Bryce. Rim Trail is gorgeous in my estimation, nice and wide and very flat, runs for miles and miles. Only did Sunset and Sunrise Points, in the short time there.
