The woods behind my house are full of woodpeckers and they visit my backyard every day. I've managed to photograph 3 of the 5 species that live there. One of these days, I'll get a shot of the hairy that visits but doesn't want to perch anywhere except the suet feeder. The pileated, of course, just laughs from deep in the woods. I'll have to pursue it over there one of these days. All photos are with the 7D Mark II and the 500/4 II.
I love the flame "tattoo" on the back of the neck of the flicker!
