great pictures. i have always thought these birds looked like they have had one too many highly caffeinated energy drinks with their spikey head feathers and wide open eyes. thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Greg! The low angle was tricky - I had about two feet to stand between a rock wall and the incoming tide. I had to quit and move when my boots started getting wet.
