This little guy sits outside our kitchen window everyday, rain or shine guarding a nearby feeder. Some days he will allow other hummers to feed and other days he will attack before they can even land.

the color on these birds is amazing. fantastic pictures. it appears you have trained it to pose very well. the birds i shoot are never this cooperative.

I have about a 2 hour window to shoot him, otherwise he is in the shade. What works for me is to open the window and watch him for a bit and once he get used to my presence I slowly move the camera up and start shooting.
The total distance between us 6-7 feet.
