I spent a total of 15 hours on the shoreline of Onondaga Lake in Syracuse, NY. Flat light, wind, and below freezing temps. I burned through a pile of hand warmers, met some very nice people, had some nice conversations, and got in a few photos. Shot with a Sigma 150-600 S and Nikon 500 F4 AF-I. Thanks for looking.

Love these images! I stopped by the creek trail right by the mall a few weeks ago. Assuming this was from around that general area as well?

your patience was rewarded with this set of pictures. the first and third pictures i really like. the bald eagle really stands out against the white flat background. have you possibly considered a black and white conversion of those two photos? it would be interesting. thank you for sharing.

Thank you Birdie. Yup, the first two days the wind was pretty strong off the lake but not too bad if you're dressed for it

Great set ,lots of good looks. Especially liked the snow the branches in #1 and three.

Thank you Gero. The locals all say that there's much more action when the lake freezes. Hoping to get back there.
