Most likely an isolated event. There are a few reports of short-term lock ups with this lens, but nothing "endemic." So far, I seem to be the "lucky" one with a brick. We'll see if Fuji can fix it or if they just ship me a new one (if they have any to ship!). I was really counting on the GF 20-35 for this weekend, but I'll "make do" with my Canon 16-35mm f2.8 mkIII on a Fringer adapter. It does an admirable job for a non-native lens, with no noticeable vignetting between 20-35mm. Corners are reasonably sharp.
