p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Sigma 150-600 C lens collar problem

I have a Sigma 150-600 Contemporary lens. I needed to remove the tripod collar ring for a shoot (in November), so I followed the instructions, removed the tripod collar ring, and carefully put on the Sigma Protective Cover PT-11 which was included in the box.

I would now like to remove that Sigma Protective Cover ring, then re-install the tripod collar ring, but I can’t figure out how to remove. Are there any instructions... does it pull straight off, do I need to rotate it? It’s not obvious how to remove the PT-11, and I can’t find any info online.

I apologize if this is off-topic for this forum.
Any advice would be welcome. Thank you.

it needs to be turned so the spinners line up with the notches.

n.v.m. Thanks for the reply. I did remove the original tripod collar by rotating to remove. I should have mentioned that I couldn't seem to rotate the protective cover ring. Diagrams seem to show it going straight on, straight off. I had another look at the images of the ring, and realized that it must go straight on, then get pulled straight off. Much as I hate to force things, it was just a snug fit, and pulled right off. But anyhow, thanks for the reply, I needed to find a solution. *sigh*
