just curious, what is your workflow so that the relatively minor upgrade (According to the charts I see from Apple which are naturally an upper bound of actual gains) is worth the hassle of upgrading? -of course, it is technically not of my business, so feel free to ignore.

Yeah, a fair question and one I had to ask myself: I do a lot of software development that benefits from more RAM. Of course, I could do this much more inexpensively on a Linux desktop machine, but being able to do this on a laptop is _amazing_.

Extra GPU cores also don't hurt, but this isn't really going to change anything for me.
