I don’t post on the boards often, but I always love the quality of work here. I really like to browse through photos here in between my outings. I had an account started back around 2005, but I lost the email access and password and so created this one a couple years ago. I enjoy this community so much, I’m going to start trying to post my own photos more often.
Anyway, most of my favorite photography subjects only exist in the summer months. Here are a few from this past year. All are in the Midwest/Great Plains of the US. In fact, the majority are from habitat garden spaces within our cities (which is usually my focus).
1. Lasioglossum sp. bee foraging on Heuchera richardsonii.

2. Lasioglossum sp. bee foraging on Tradescantia ohiensis.

3. Black swallowtail caterpillar on its native host plant, Zizia aurea.

4. Pollen covered Halictus sp. bee.

5. Sawfly larva “smiling”

6. Megachile bee closeup

7. Ant attacking squash bug

8. Monarch butterfly nectaring on Echinacea purpurea.

Thanks for looking. Any comments or thoughts are always welcome.
