There she is, enjoying her (one month already) moment of fame
It has been very nice to have such a visitor!!!!
Will post later better pics, this is just a jpeg from the camera ... have to find some time to work the RAW which should yield nicer pics

It is so strange that you have a snowy owl visiting and here on Long Island where we have them every year they have not been found

That is why she is the sensation!!
It's been over 100 years since one has landed anywhere in California, less in SoCal (it has been very, very rainy, which is also very, very unusual for here)

She certainly is at home on that roof. Have seen several news reports and it seems she has picked that house . Must be quite the sight.’

Actually, she moves from roof to roof ... makes us photographers walk around every day

Her habits (and her look) are eerily similar to the owl we had for 3+ months last winter. We are also a rare area for them to be but not as rare as CA.

Ours moved roof to roof every day. Just before sunset or just after she would fly off the roof she had been on for the entire day. Assuming she went to hunt. It was a fun search every morning to find out where she had settled. She mostly stayed in a 5 block radius for all that time.

I saw a posting on a local site asking where to see the Snowy Owl in Southern California.
I recall thinking "What kind of Bozo asks about seeing Snowy Owls in SoCal?"
It seems I was the Bozo.

Ours ("ours" ) does the same ... stays within a 4-5 blocks radius, goes to the local owl restaurant (a nearby golf course) to eat at 5pm sharp every day (talk about being punctual) and goes back to her roof of choice afterwards
