The dry grass being blown around in the foreground is in stark contrast to the rest of the picture. To get that effect one has to remove all appearances of the effects of an unsteady handheld camera from the still images that are the source for the GIF animation.

It occurred to me that iPhone has a 'Live' mode that could generate this effect if it is set in a loop. I wonder if any ILC body has implemented something like the 'Live' mode.

Oh well, too bad GIF has only 8 or fewer bits.
In fact Photoshop only gives me 256 colors or 7 bits when saving the GIF file.
Up to that point the animation looked fine.
When I cycle through the underlying jpg files on my computer the sky looks fine.

Can one do better than GIF?
Well, I found the following reference:

Unlike GIFs, ordinary PNGs don’t allow for animation. In 2001, the developers of PNG came up with a new animation-friendly format called the Multiple-image Network Graphic (MNG). But with GIFs remaining the more popular animation file, MNGs failed to gain widespread popularity.“
