As some of you already know, we've been honored to have a special (albeit destructive) guest at our home for the past month or so. He's a handsome bear with a voracious appetite.
He came back last night to put on another pole dancing show. 
He's now destroyed 6 birdfeeders and dislodged the 2 inch sch 80 pipe custom steel pole I had buried 3 feet into the ground. The feeders are about 8 foot off the ground and I "thought" I finally designed a squirrel and bear proof feeder. But this guy decided to show me I need to go back to the drawing board.
My wife received 4 new bird (bear) feeders for Christmas, but we think we might hold off putting them up until this guy eventually moves on. We'll likely just hang a low feeder for the birds such that we can easily remove it each night and bring it inside.
