Found this flitty little guy last weekend. He gave me a full 2 seconds (check Exif) to capture these shots before he was gone again.
Thankfully he had an itch which slowed him down long enough for me to get on him and start clicking.

It must have already gone extinct cause I don't see it.

Nice. Lots of snow in a few shots. Reminded me of a few years where we had very heavy snowfalls at our cottage in the Canadian wilderness.

As I was taking a 34 frame burst of this Pileated, a hawk flew over and the Pileated took cover by laying down tight to the branch he was on. I've never witnessed this before.

Turning it into a GIF messed the colors up pretty bad but shows his movements
