I just received today the humble little RF 50/1.8 lens. Bought on B&S forum for a very good price. My second RF lens (I mostly use my EF lenses via Canon EF-RF Adapter).

So far, I'm very pleased with the images, especially these 2-shot pano composites.

Having now processed the rest of the images from yesterday's first outing, this is definitely best budget/standard 50mm that I've shot. RF 50/1.8 STM

Details, color, and contrast are very nice -- this coming from a Zeiss lover.

Just a macro shot of a 20 Rappen coin (Switzerland). I was testing out my home-made macro flash diffuser, which does a pretty nice job. obviously metal is the most challenging thing, and there will still be some reflections, but this creates a wonderfully soft light. Made from a thin flexible cutting board, a sheet of paper, and some thin packing foam sheets. Total cost was about $15-20, though I have enough stuff to make four of them if it eventually wears out or falls apart, and enough to make like 25 of them if I repurchase some more of the cheap thin cutting boards. Works about the same as a Crafty Bells Diffuser for 1/4 - 1/5 the cost.

My R5 was in the car, so I just used my RP. EOS RP with RF 100mm f/2.8L Macro, Godox MF-12 (2) macro flashes + diffuser:
