p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Tornadic super cell over Texas

Wasn't quite sure if a shot of JUST clouds was Nature or Landscape, but here we are

Last month, a massive super cell rolled through these parts, spawning tornadoes across multiple counties as the night went on. This shot was just as the last light of day faded, turning the cell pink, green, and purple in parts. I was hyper focused on the column on the right half growing and roiling, and didn't even notice the birds passing by until I got home and looked at the images. Usually these are scenes reserved for springtime, it was shocking to see this so late in the year.

Excellent documentary image Scott. Those cloud tops must be very high and probably far away.

I never want to be inside another tornado. The one our home was in was an F1 and that was strong enough for my taste.

Gives me goosebumps! Nothing more impressive than watching Mother Nature stir up the pot, fascinating how the clouds, light and winds move around. Truly a spectacle, neat image

Thanks Morris, we've been through our shares of scares living in Texas...this was the first time we hunkered down in a closet in a while!

Thanks Karl, when those skies start to turn green, you know it's getting serious!
