For me it’s got to be the 135GM. Still blown away every time I use it. The Canon 135L was the reason I went to FF and the Sony is even better.

Hmmm nope not a single lens. I can't say I form emotional attachments to any lens (except maybe the Cosina 55/1.2 that's been with me through through numerous brand camera changes and that I keep getting the mount changed on - but the FL is too long for a walkaround) !

I've had a ton of good lenses (read expensive) from Contax to Zeiss to Voigtlander to Sony but they are just tools and if you process your work then that will affect any lens characteristics anyway, to a greater or lesser degree.

If I had to name one that wows me it'd probably be the Laowa 12mm zero distortion (convertible to a 17mm Shift lens with their adapter). Very sharp, very cool effects and the shift works well even if very clunky. But it weighs almost 1 kg with the adapter and it's a MF lens (not that AF is required at 12mm anyway).

That's easy... 600GM f4. According my Flickr stats that has accounted for 93.6% of my images in 2022 & 2021. The remaining percentage was split between the 90mm macro and 135mm f1.8

I love the Voigtlander 40mm f/1.2 Nokton. The size, speed, build quality, sharpness, and the Voigtlander magic rendering all come together in this amazing little gem. Just unbeatable, so much character and so fun to use

I just picked up a nice used copy of the Voigtlander 50mm f/1.2 Nokton (SE) from the FM Buy& Sell forum, and it is equally special.

And to make it a trio, The Voigtlander 65mm f/2 Macro Lanthar APO is a bit larger than I would like, but is otherwise perfect in every way.

My favorite Sony lens is the 24/1.4 GM. I love the colors and punch that I get with this lens, and the focal length is a lot of fun.

Honorable mentions: Voigtlander 35/2 APO, Voigtlander 50/2 APO, Sony 50/1.2 GM, and the Sony 135/1.8 GM.

This is my best buddy Hank, taken with my A1 and the new to me Voigtlander 50mm f/1.2 Nokton SE…

My honorable mentions would also be 35/2 APO, 50/2 APO, 50/1.2 GM but 135 is too tight for me so I'd substitute it with 35GM.

I’m pretty sure it would be the 50GM if I owned it. Just not keen to buy another 800g or so prime.

Of what I’ve owned: RX1 probably closest to a lens I’ve loved in Sony ecosystem. Honorable mentions from what I’ve owned include 24GM, 50ZA, 40/1.2 and 50/1.2 Noktons. Strangely I don’t own any of the above at the moment. Guess Sigma 65/2 comes closest but I’ve not shot enough with it to know if I can elevate to “love” category.

It isn't on my camera often, but I love the the 85f1.4 GM renders. I don't often have people in front of the lens so my 35-150, 100-400 and 200-600 are more often mounted, but I like the 85 best.

Voigtlander 65mm Apo-Lanthar f2. Yeah, it's larger than your average bear, but it's got loads of non-sterile image goodness inside, plenty of je ne sais quoi. The focal length suits me as well.

Funny you should mention the Ultron. Still one of my favourite lenses - though it doesn't get a lot of love on FM.

Lots of good choices, but for me it would be the Voigtlander 65 f/2 Macro. I like the focal length. I like the sharpness. I like the close focus ability. I like the almost complete absences of CA.
