Probably my most prized Rokkor (next to the 40-80mm gear box lens) It's one of those lenses that has its own character, look and appeal. I get AF on my Sony E-mount bodies via my Techart Pro adapter - but there are also plenty of good manual focus adapters that bring this wonderful legacy lens back into service. This is the first version before the PG models came out.
It has 8 aperture blades, which makes it prized for its beautiful bokeh. Very solidly built and a pleasure to shoot with.
It's kind of interesting to me how a Nikon 58mm f1.2 legacy lens sells for $3000 and the Minolta doesn't sell for that. This has more to do collector's influence regarding rarity of models than performance.
This particular one is of the early model, not the later PG model. It's in amazing, beautiful condition, extremely minor usage appearance. It'sone of the solid, Japan made lenses from yesteryear, weighing in at over a pound.
I used my Techart pro and shot basketball with it, just for kicks and grins and to see if it (read: "if I") could keep up. No, it's not today's standards of af speeds but just the mere fact that AF could work on this legacy lens was a bit of mind-blowing fun. Example below...
The lens will come with both caps, carefully wrapped and shipped.
Paypal and shipping included.
