with iphone no I don't think so. With android I think just some canned responses like yes no and such. Doesn't have any way to enter text and no voice to text like siri that I know of

No you cannot speak on the phone and you can't respond to text messages but you do get the notification of incoming. IMO a trade-off well worth the 25 day battery life. No charging anxiety with these. Also be aware it is a reflective not an oled screen. Amazing in sunlight but darker in doors although there is a back light.
