As I sit here working up images watching it snow out of my window, I'm already looking forward to returning to Costa Rica in April to share the beauty and diversity with new friends.

CC always Welcome.

Red-Eyed tree frogs have sticky pads on their toes to help them hold on and balance on trees and limbs.

White-throated Mountaingem

Any image set from Costa Rica has to show at least one toucan, right ?

Hanging Around

A pair of Scarlet macaws

Green Violet-Ear in natural light

Frog Camo - Green and Black Poison Dart frog

A black-crowned tityra brings a little nest material back to the nest.

Fleischmann’s glass frog and you’ll see where it got that name. The skin on its stomach is see-through, giving you a glimpse at the organs inside.

The resplendent quetzals brings a snack back to the nest.

White-faced capuchin cleaning, and for once, not up to mischief.

I'm always amazed at how large the King Vulture is.

A real nice variety of images Matt. I have seen some on Costa Rica trips, but not all of these. I especially like your great look at the Poison Dart frog, with the beautiful background.

Thanks Morris. It was fun photographing the hummingbirds as they perched in nice compositions.

Thanks Dave. Lots to photograph there in Costa Rica. One of my favorite places is up at Tortuguero National Park in the fresh water canals. Not many folks go there, and the photography is excellent. You never know what is around the next corner.

We did have a great trip, and perfect weather. I always enjoy heading South and get a little break from the cold.

Wow there are some most unique images here Matt. I remember seeing a glass from at the zoo, crazy cool! Nice color and super neat subjects.

Thanks Jim ! You don't need to haul much!!! A body and a 100-400 or 200-600 will get it done!!!

I traveled the entire world on business but had no time to enjoy it!

Thanks Dan. I completely understand. In my younger days I was always traveling for work with no extra time, now I travel to host photography workshop (which is more fun than work)!
