A terrific set Matt! #4 & 5 are stunning.
You should have given me a call, I would have been happy to fill in for you this year so you could take Nov off.
Dave
Thanks for the kind offer Dave. I had some clients want to book a custom trip in Iceland, and it conflicted a bit with the eagles. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Hi Matt,
Do you think the first is close enough? I find it much more engaging than the full head shot later in your post. The second is a wonderful moment and the third a stunner with the warm backlight. The white out image is super and reminds me of what is to come. "Soaring" is a fabulous environmental portrait. The contrast in "Over on the Chilkoot River" is what makes it work for me. "Flap Down" is a superb ending. I love the flying snow and the intensity of the eagle.
Family time is a wonderful thing. I like to take them along yet I don't travel as much as you and of cause it's a budget consideration. Enjoy you time home and the holidays!

Thanks Morris. The eagle certainly was close enough, where DOF was an issue.

Thank you. All the images were from Haines, on the Chilkoot and Chilkat rivers.

A very pleasing presentation on color, details and compositions Matt. Really nice work on the tight head shots/portraits.
Karl
Thank you Karl. There is lots of color up there, even in winter.

I've always wanted to go on an eagle trip. We have a few around here, but they aren't predictable. Great set. Love the one with the snow.
They are pretty predicticable up in Haines, Alaska, starting in the end of October.

Fantastic set that has it all, close in portraits, action, and showing off the beautiful environment. Thanks for getting me psyched to shoot some Eagles here in Washington this winter.
Thanks Jim. Looking forward to seeing your Washington eagle images.
