I spent a couple of days in October in Pa. The weather was all over the place, but still enjoyed getting away. As always thanks for looking ,comments and critique welcome.

Excellent group of photos! Some impressive antlers.
You got some good light, which sometimes is the case when the weather is "all over the place".
Are these deer or elk?

Thanks Dave. These are elk. I think we had rain, grey skies, wind and the last morning snow.

John - Great looking set of Elk images. Really like the first image with the three bulls together. That last image is really beautiful, love the setting they are in.

Some excellent looks here John. I'm enjoying the supporting environmental adders, I think #2 is really a beauty, unique POV, sea of lovely greens and some solid color along the back. All those gals and just one guy ...winner winner

Nice images in the water along the shore. Looks like you caught one with a mouth full of salad and he gave you the look head on and you nailed it! That has a nice pastel BG as well. The natural framing on #8 looks great.
Now that last shot is a winner, love the action and the subtle pinks in the grasses and the darkness of the BG between the colored trees looks like an escape route.
Very nice .....

Hi John,

Great to see your photos of the elk. You got some nice images of the herd as well as individuals. I recognize a few of them, what a nice surprise that is. It's a shame you did not have nicer weather yet you did get to see the elk and that was your goal. The fall colors look good as the backdrop for the first image and there super in the last of you young bull fighting the older one. That's my favorite.

Fantastic set John ! Lovely backgrounds and poses. Hard to pick any favorites as I enjoyed them all. If forced, it would have to be 8 for the lovely framing with the tree and its fall colors.

Nice shots. I always thought that Coastal Elk would have been better for transplanting to the Eastern US because of similar habitat to the NW environment.
