Almost three years ago my wife and I were pulled over on the side of a mountain just outside of Estes Park, CO listening to a voicemail from a CPS caseworker we'd had in the past letting us know a former foster daughter of ours was back in the system and has asked for us and "oh, she's got a newborn sister"...click. Fast forward and despite being #8 or maybe in spite of it, she runs the house and from the day she came home from the hospital, has had me wrapped around her finger.

Whow you really love that negative space.

And what location is that, exactly ? Looks like a huge floodlight in front of some houses at pitch black night.

Also a very charming kid with quite the artists hairdo.

Either way very interesting on many levels !

This was taken at a baseball field/park, the walkway space between fields. Lit by massive ball field lights.the background is the large concession/bathroom building in the middle of the park.

Being our wild child, her hair in a pony tail lasts all of 5 minutes despite our best efforts. I make it a point to carry a camera with me as much as I can, with so many kids there is usually something interesting/funny to photograph. In this case, one of my older daughters was pushing her on the skateboard and her smile/laughing was too cute not to capture.

Regarding the negative space, it’s not the norm for me, but I’m really enjoying it in these images.
