I don't personally have a setup that prints on metal, but I can say from being to labs that do that you will need to invest in more than the printer. Most metal printing (e.g. Chromaluxe) is done using dye sublimation. So you'll need a large format dye sub printer as well a large heat press to adhere the transfer material to the metal. You'll probably need a cutter that can handle the large sheets of aluminum as well.
