p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Which 4x6 printer?

I know this topic was asked 18 years ago, but wanted to see if any new updates since then? Priority to affordable (or even refillable) ink, compatibility (air print would be great), longevity, and of course quality. No priority for portability or size.

cheers!

Basically you have Epson (inkjet) or Canon (dye sub). I did buy the Epson PM-400 to replace an older Epson that lasted about ten years. The user is happy that it prints 5x7, not just 4x6, and it what you would expect from a small-size inkjet. The dye sub Canon is cheaper, but it doesn't really print 4x6 and only on the perfed paper in the pack.

A dyes sub will never have clogged jets like an inkjet printer and will last much much longer. This why the high volume event printers are dye sub ones.
