p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Canon R6 mechanical curtain, IS, slow speeds

We use the Canon R6 and absolutely love this camera! I was curious if the IS at slower speeds could make the mechanical curtains stay open for just a second when shooting at a higher frame rates (fps) in mechanical mode? The photos look fantastic, but just curious as sometimes you can feel it stay open for a brief second when shooting at faster rates, but slower speeds. Almost like it's shooting in EFC mode.

I've never experienced this, but I so rarely shoot in burst mode.

Meanwhile ... (cue harp gliss and pull back curtain) ... the R6 mark II.

Sure, I'll take two (to start)

I wasn't shooting in any high speed mode, just servo AF, one shot mode, albeit, pressing the shutter quickly and using strobes. The R6 MKII looks great, but I don't use enough of the features of the R6 now! Perhaps a good time to purchase another R6 soon as prices are already $200 less for a new one!
