What is great about this time of year is the explosion of large mushrooms and toadstools.

I am no mycologist -- not remotely -- but I will not be eating any that I come across including these.

Can any of the mushroom/fungi "experts" on the forum please take a shot to identify the mushrooms/stools shown in the attached images?

These were all focus bracketed by hand -- while we wait for Hasselblad to give us "back" in camera focus bracketing in the X2D-100C. Helicon Focus Pro did a great job but the bracket ranges and intervals are rough.

Thanks -- I have also generated versions of these images with far lower contrast and they are better.

Autumn brings mushrooms to the UK -- this is probably a large/old Armillaria ostoyae / Honey fungus
