I'm set. Content to live out my remaining years with the gears on hand.

Last count 16 lenses for 8 bodies. Told the Mrs at this point in my cough "hobby"

I'll be redirecting my disposable income in pursuit of exotic Scotch/Tequila and of
course microbrews. I'll continue to post, I'll just be a bit more focused than normal.

MMmm, that Scotch does sound tempting, but there is no way I can handle that.

One to two (max) lights in the Silver can and showing that mountain out West. That's it for me.

You will be proud of me: Please promise not to tell anyone. I've turned down 3 Z9's over the last year. Ooops ... Gotta go now.

Your priorities are admirable!

I'm not done (far to pragmatic to ever claim that), but I sure have slowed down the pace of gear churn lately.

I feel where you’re headed. I doubt I’ll ever stop acquiring gear as long as I keep making revenue from it. Having said that, I definitely am becoming more judicial with how much and when I shoot that sort of stuff. I’m also trying to pair down less used gear.
As for Scotch, definitely, especially in the winter months.

Very happy with lighting and lenses, camera is the most "lacking" of those 3 areas but I'm still very happy and blessed.

I stopped buying gear when I switched to Fuji. It feels so good to be finally content with what I have. GAS is curable, especially if you spend less time in these forums where people constantly urge you to try new toys

Also, there's nothing wrong with D700 and 200 f/2. Hell I'd be happy with that too til the end of days!

Macallan 25 is my new wish list, but I'm content with sipping Glenfiddich 14 which I can actually afford lol

I thought I was done with the D850 and then mirrorless arrived. Now the D850 is gone and the Z7ii is my go to.

I stopped subsidizing breweries & distilleries 6 years ago. I think it paid for a bunch of gear.

There are some lenses that would really help with what I do:
- Nikon 35mm f1.2
- Nikon 85mm f1.2
- Voigtlander 125mm f2.5 APO
- Nikon 200mm f2.0 TC

A Z8 with 60+ mp and an AF closer to that of the Z9 would be neat as well.

I am not sure I’ll keep the Fuji G system, we will see.

Certainly less money to be spent on gear now and more on experiences. I'm contemplating forcing myself to reduce lenses so that I spend more time with the lenses I really like the most. Tricky when the focus and interest seems to rotate more often than not.
