How noticeable is the detent or resistance to indicate you're uncoupling from the rangefinder when focusing really close?

The CV 40 2.8 is wider than 40mm. Closer to 35mm.

And no, no-one suggest to compare the 40 2.8 to this new 35 1.5, even if the 40 is closer to 35.

There is nothing to indicate that you are going past 0.7m. No bump, resistance change, etc.

If you play attention closely, there is a very subtle click sound once the RF disengages. With my copy, it's around 0.65m.
One can only notice that in a silent environment. I wish Cosina would improve this in future lenses by adding more resistance and a clear distinction when focusing closer than 0.7m.

Nice comparison. For my taste the leica has a more 3D like look. But the bokeh on the CV is better. I am happy that I ordered the CV and not the Lux. For the extra money of the Leica I could buy something else like a used M10. I will do a comparison between the 1.2 and the 1.5 using my M11 … But still dont know when my 1.5 will be delivered.

I did compare the CV 35/1.5 to the Leica 35/1.4 FLE briefly on the Sony. The Leica is sharper wide open (away from center) and the Voigtlander has smoother rendering + narrower field of view.

Meanwhile only the Type II is available in Germany and it seems the Type I will only be available in January

Guess I‘ll have to wait a little longer..

When I ordered it, see above, it was "Lieferzeit: sofort lieferbar" so "available for immediate delivery".
I guess they had only a few in stock.

pmeheut is right, it was available but is now sold out. I ordered mine from a different site (Germany as well) and they only had one left in stock.
