The remnants of hurricane Ian are now gone after the sub tropical depression parked of Long Island for nearly a week bring rain, wind and cold on shore. Mostly it was not bad yet a few bands were very windy with heavy rain and lightning. As I walked through the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY; one of my friends commented on how hungry the birds seemed and I replied "It must have been a brutal week for them." Both of the birds shown here appear to be doing fine and are eating and flying.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
