I have to say that the rendering is much different from the random photos I've taken from the 35 to the 33. It is so much cleaner, I guess what is described as "clinical" on the 35. I'll have to do more testing. To me it doesn't make sense to keep both.

I haven't shot with the 35/2 or 33/1.4. Are you saying you prefer the rendering of the 33/1.4 over the 35/2?

At this point, that is where I'm leaning. Keep in mind I prefer the rendering of old. Sharpness of a lens is not my main priority, neither is bokeh. I'm ok needing a higher ISO and the accompanying grain. This preference is the reason my first Fuji lens was the 35/1.4 and that the lens I preferred to use most while I was using Sony was the Voigtlander 40/1.4 (despite having some of the newest Sony GM lenses).

Understood. We share the same priorities. I've had many lenses that covered 50mm over the years, but there's a far cry from the beautiful look of Fuji's 35/1.4 (or Sigma's 50/1.4, or Nikon's 58/1.4) to the "yup, that's a photo alright" look from a Canon 50/1.4 or <insert most zooms here>.

My "good lenses" only come out when I can't possibly miss the shot. Whenever I can get away with it, finer lenses like the 35/1.4 and 56/1.2 come out.

I hope the 33/1.4 gives you the look you're going for, cause it looks like an absolute knock-out on the technical end!
