Fairly good morning for me. Got to see a somewhat rare bird for our area (Little Blue Heron) and I got my first "bird-with-fish" shot, although the highlights blew some of the feathers out, and finally, an Elegant Tern in flight (not the the best shot, but I was happy to be able to keep it in the frame)

Oh gosh Greg the Elegant Tern is exactly that, just love this image.
Your Greenie offering is actually a juvenile Black Crowned Night Heron and thank you I'll take that

Down the hatch is a sweet image and congrats on bird with fishy

Just keep an eye out for those long legged birds, get all the leg in and then crop it how you like

Gotcha looks good, highlights are difficult on these as you well know now, set up 'zebra mode in camera' it is awesome to quickly keep track of highlight issues.
Little Blue is a nice find, those grasses you have there are so different than ours!
Excellent color and comp on the GBH. Very pleasing to the eye. Looks like you may have multiple sensor spots to get checked out?

Wish I could hook up and shoot with you!

I've seen Night Herons here before, but I guess the green around his eyes confused me.

Yes, I just ordered some sensor swabs and some pec pads...used a loupe to discover my sensor is a mess. Jeez. I've set the camera to close the shutter when powered off. Maybe that's not a good idea since I didn't see this issue before doing so. No worries though, a couple of wet swabs and it'll be all nice and clean.

Hi Greg,

Your avian images are improving quickly. Watching the birds eat fish is fascinating and eventually you will get to see them fight over a fish or fishing spot.

Thanks Morris. I spent some good time watching the terns fly around, hover, then dive for a snack. It's amazing what we see when we slow down and actually look around!
