Any recommendations on hand straps?

I'm coming from Sony, and used a Spider Light hand strap. I've tried the Peak Design wrist strap and found it more of an inconvenience than anything. I tried the Spider Light on my X-Pro 2, but the body design and shutter button placement make for an oddhold with that strap. I'm settling with the fact that I need to adjust to the hold and grip as I haven't found anything that looks like it'll help, but thought to ask the Fuji community. Thanks.

I've used the Op/Tech SLR Wrist Strap on many cameras for decades.. Wouldn't be without it.

I use Gordy's wrist straps on my cameras. They're comfortable, not bulky and excellent quality:

Thanks for the recommendations, but I'm looking for a hand strap. I might eventually go with one of these options.

I use a fat shoe lace on all my cameras. It never really holds the weight, but is insurance to my grip on the camera.

Well, I was just ready to jump in and say how much I like my PD wrist strap and why, but...

... you don't. So I won't. :-)

I have a gordy on every one of my cameras. Very comfortable without being in the way.

I took a look at the website since I'll probably need to get a wrist strap. Are the Gordy straps hard leather that needs to be broken down?

+1. Lots of band for your buck. Peak Design wrist strap is also good.

For the small bodied APC-C models I use the Fuji handstrap:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1051854-REG/fujifilm_16431885_wrist_strap_for_all.html/?msclkid=2acb68402e4f1fa5a8c10b6b4e4f6270

They can be found significantly cheaper on EBay.

It's similar to the Spider in that it wraps around the thumb.

I still prefer my old Canon E-1 strap from the film/digital days. It is more flexible than the PD strap, which makes it easier to maneuver my hand forward and back. I could use it with the big rear wheel on my 5D, and also with gloves, without having to adjust it.

They donít make the E-1 anymore, but there is an E-2 that is similar and comes with a bottom mount that you should throw away and replace with a lugged Arca Swiss bottom plate.

Caveat: I havenít used either strap on my Xpro2, so Iím not sure if they will be ideal for that camera. I like to keep my hand straps looseÖ just tight enough that the camera canít fall so long as I curl my fingers. That approach might not work great with the tiny grip on the XPro2?

I know, I know, but...

What I like about my PD strap on my XPro2: The PD attachment systems lets me quickly switch it out for a neck strap. The slider on the PD strap lets me snug the thing around my wrist while keeping the strap to the camera loose enough for comfort. It is easy to operate the camera while the strap is attached. It is relatively thin and unobtrusive in use.

What I like less about it: It can be awkward to slide the wrist-loop tightener to loosen the strap when it is time to remove it.

Yes, they need to be worked in...but are very nice once broken in.

DON'T GET A SMALLRIG.

It attaches similar to a Peak Design, but kept coming loose at the connector for me.
