This guy is a fellow photographer I ran into on a walk. We agreed to take each other portrait. I got the better of that deal, he had a very interesting look. I choose to shoot him with a 28mm lens to highlight that look. Natural light, open shade.

Nice shot. I like your lighting, but I might have asked him to adjust his hat a tiny bit to get a little more light in his eyes.
