I used to, but not because of “wildlife” photography. Results depend a lot on the lens and the zoo. I’m not going to carry a super heavy lens, so depth of field wasn’t limited enough in settings where fences were in the background. It was mostly just a fun thing, but nothing serious for me. If you have a modern zoo with large habitats for groups of animals, you can get some good shots. Otherwise, it’s mostly snapshots like with any tourism destination.
