The family and I had the pleasure of spending a day and a half in Cuyahoga Valley, Ohio the other week on part of a lil vacation. The National Park there is beautiful, with wonderful trails and waterfalls. What really piqued my interest was the Ledges Trail, which has these killer rock formations that was part Antelope Canyon, part mossy woodlands.

B&W was not the main priority, but I think this one came out decent.

Thanks for looking!

Jeff

Thanks Dan! Aside from the mosquitos this area was SUPER zen - loved it.

I like it, and I like it a lot.

Fantastic how the light on the rocks expose different degrees of grays/blacks.

Thanks for the really kind words, Marcelo! Have you ever seen B&W treatments of Antelope Canyon (or other slots) out West? They are stunning!!

Great shot! I grew up there. Originally it was Virginia Kendall Park, a county park developed in the 1930's. There's some amazing scenery in the area which likely surprises many people not familiar with northeastern Ohio.

Thanks Tim! You aren't lying - one could spend hours on a single formation at Ledges, much less the entire trail. It's a shame that we didn't have a few more days in the area to explore, but you can bet we'll head back one day.

I agree with Dan, wonderful work. Won't pull me away from my annual pilgramidge to Southern Utah though

Thank you, Jim! My wife is great at finding cool spots to hit on our trips - I just show up.

Cheers, Jim!

The West is something else entirely - I've only been a handful of times but it's no surprise why it draws so many landscapers. Midwest and East are stunning in their own rights, but you don't get as many of the "whoa" vistas that you do in the west proper.
