The following are a couple images of cross polarized crystals take through a microscope. 100 % Citric Acid which is known as vitamin C and a photo of a spiced cider mix that allowed to dry on a microscope slide. Fun projects but time consuming.

I love the second one.

Citric acid is what is used in artificial lemonade.

Ascorbic acid is vitamin C.

Thank you for the comments. I like the second one better as well. These photos fun to take but you never know what you will get.
