Actually ISO 500 on the A1 is very clean so the ISO did not create any problem with noise/grain. As mentioned this was a totally new adventure for me, I took most of my shots that eve at 100 ISO. Knowing that 500 ISO was cleaner than 250,320,400 I just went from 100 to 500 to try a few as the light was minimal. Is there a good reason for 500, no but it was the next best thing to 100 IMO at that moment
