Hello new to the board and to photography, this is my first post here. I live in Anchorage, AK and I've been taking some photos of seaplanes taking off and landing at Lake Hood Seaplane Base. Any feedback or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking a look.

My feedback: Excellent. Great panning with a shutter speed slow enough to get a 360° prop blur. Your photos don't look like you are new to aviation photography.

Thanks a lot Ray, I appreciate it, I've probably taken around 3000 pics out at Lake Hood, these are the best so far. I will repost this in the other thread in City, Street and Architecture.

I'm using 1/100 or 1/125, I've found thats the best. I tried 1/60 and 1/80 and the background blur is awesome there but its hard to get the entire plane in focus at that speed.

Andy,
Very cool, welcome to FM. I have been there several times and have flown with Rusts several times. I will be up in Alaska again this September (next month), can not wait...
