When I saw the American Oystercatcher at the top of the hill with the waves crashing behind it I composed my image and then took a burst each time a wave came in till I got the image I wanted. It took a while and a lot of frames.

Did you take any focused on the waves instead of the Oystercatcher?
That is a really pretty picture Morris and also looks nice in a tighter pano-like comp. These colors really pop on your crashing wave background, nice creation.
