Incredible set Birdie, those straight on frontal shots are off-the-chart and the processing is very unique.

You managed to get them posing perfectly on ideal perches.
Great shots.
Your A9 and A7R4 seem to do well focusing on the eyes. Of course with about 10,000 eyes how can they miss?

What a challenge and what absolutely stunning results Birdie! Your eyes must be spot on, your focus on their eyes is

So little DOF but you nailed what needed to anchor these images. Slower shutter and no movement, must have been a still day. I tend to like the ones with a slightly darker BG as it gives more 3D pop. However that first one has a special look to it, 'glassy' somewhat pearl-like in coloring. Each one is marvelous

Roberta your macro work is amazing. You having me think about bugs in a whole new light. I have been shooting dragon flies, bubble bees , for my two year old grandson who loves to look but not touch bugs. I have been using my R5-100-500 and getting some nice results. I think I have to look at a proper macro lens. Beauty is in the close up.

Thanks so much Dave. Small point really helps , especially since I am handholding . Learned that with the tube and TC handholding is a bit more difficult
