Birdie,

I like the backgrounds as much as the subjects. I like that last one most.

Beauty dragons as usual Birdie. Their faces straight-on always look funny. It looks like they have two mouths.

So little DOF but you nailed what needed to anchor these images. Slower shutter and no movement, must have been a still day. I tend to like the ones with a slightly darker BG as it gives more 3D pop. However that first one has a special look to it, 'glassy' somewhat pearl-like in coloring. Each one is marvelous

Thanks so much Karl. I, too, like the background in the first one . Actually it was a bit windy, but fired away and fortunately a few were in focus

Roberta your macro work is amazing. You having me think about bugs in a whole new light. I have been shooting dragon flies, bubble bees , for my two year old grandson who loves to look but not touch bugs. I have been using my R5-100-500 and getting some nice results. I think I have to look at a proper macro lens. Beauty is in the close up.

Dave

Thank you Dave. There is a whole other world to be discovered with the macro lens.
