I highly recommend alphagard skins and Zemlin lens cap to protect the front glass

Must be something about 'z'. I use Zeck caps on my big whites. The Zemlins look pretty fine, too. Otherwise, I use LensCoat covers, hoodies, and travelcoats.

A lot of folks make their own neoprene from Rocky woods, or use 3m or other tapes. See: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1217111

Alternatively, there are a couple places in the uk who offer reasonably priced options. https://lenscamo.co.uk/ https://wildlifewatchingsupplies.co.uk/collections/camera-lens-video-covers https://www.outdoorphotographygear.co.uk/canon-neoprene-lens-covers

(I’ve purchased from the last vendor)

I actually made a lenscoat like cover from an old wetsuit by cutting it apart for the neoprene. Fittingly it was left by a former member of the sailing club I was shooting at. That said...thoroughly wash old wetsuits. Like with bleach.

I used loads of neoprene type covers, hated them all for one reason or another. Bought some 3M wrap from https://www.mossyoakgraphics.com following a recommendation on here - best decision I made

There are a couple of other companies making lens covers....one is Rolanpro, the other is:

I have buddies who like the Rolanpro covers and I've purchased a couple from the UK and have been pleased.

The good quality vinyl wraps work well for DIY folks. Just make sure you use heat from a heat gun or hair dryer to stretch the wrap for the best results.

If the product is good enough to wrap a car, it is good enough to wrap a lens. There are a number of videos on YouTube.

I used VVivid wrap and it worked very well.
