I don't know much about this but I understand that males will bring fish to females as a courtship presentation. But juvenile Terns will also beg for food long after they've grown. Judging by the time of year I'm guessing this is a juvenile begging ?
Shot this morning from the kayak. Sigma 150-600 S All comments and critiques welcome.

Lovely food exchange. The chicks are just hatching here and you are further north so this is courtship.
