Here is a little tease of an upcoming Greenie post coming and an appreciation for the 'little things' often overlooked in the 'big picture'. A good friend of mine tells people I can make something out of nothing, thank you John, well isn't nothing still 'something'

Here is a video clip posted on another forum here on FM, it really struck my heart in the comment by this 100yr old Veteran 'everything is beautiful'. Sure don't want to take everything for granted, time to enjoy it before it's gone

So here are a few of this little things within the big picture that grabbed me on this outing with the Green Heron and it's nearby surroundings ..... Comments and crits always welcomed.
The little creatures were at MFD, the Sony 200-600 in manual focus with a little assist from a monopod.

A beautiful set. Karl. Reasonably sure the "moth" on the clover is a butterfly (summer azure, perhaps). Of course, titles don't make the image, which is quite lovely.

Oh what a sweet set Karl !!! I totally agree with John, you can make a photo out of anything.
Can't wait to see more of the greenie .

I came here looking for green herons, and found so much more. The GH shot is great, but the other four are equally beautiful. I probably would have been that guy to walk past those four and get tunnel vision on the heron. Your friend may be on to something, not only did you see them but photographed them and presented them like the art that they are. That vet was right, beauty is all around us, we just don't see and appreciate it enough !!
I came to this forum to become a better photographer, with the hope I could learn from members just like you and so many others. Maybe with a lot of help... someday I will learn how to see things others miss and turn them into art the way you do Karl. Awesome Set.
