I've seen little, if any, commentary regarding the effectiveness of using this Sigma lens with Fringer adapter on Fuji cameras. There is much info regarding the Sigma 150-600mm. However, I don't want to extrapolate from those comments/conclusions.

Has anyone here used this combo? If so, what are your thoughts regarding autofocus, sharpness, ergonomics, etc.?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Rented one two years ago from LensRentals and used it with the Fringer on my X-H1. AF was quick and accurate, lens IS quite effective. Only real drawback is that it is as heavy as a Sherman tank and, in the end, did not deliver IQ for wildlife that was demonstrably better than the Canon 100-400 Mk2 + 1.4X Fuji extender on the X-H1.

So I never purchased it, and my actual go to combo now is the Fuji XF 100-400 + 1.4X because it is nearly a pound lighter than the Canon 100-400 Mk2 + 1.4X plus Fringer adapter. I do use the Canon 100-400 Mk2 + Fuji 2X extender when sitting in good light.
