In this post I am selling an unused Matthews Infinity Arm for $175.

Here is the B&H price and description:

Matthews Infinity Arm
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1251333-REG/matthews_429627_infinity_arm_kit.html

List price $299
My price: $175
Condition: New in pouch, never used

At one point when I was redesigning my video studio I had thoughts on a different way I wanted to mount the cameras. After much research online I decided the Matthews Infinity Arm was the best option. It is truly a marvel of mechanical engineering. I genuinely can't believe how precisely the components are engineered and the ability to swap in different accessory tips is amazing. But right at the time I bought this I got hooked on Cardellini clamps (of which I have way too many, but love them) and built the studio around the Cardellini clamps so I never used these. This has sat unused since I bought it.

I believe $175 plus PayPal fees is a fair price for one unused Matthews Infinity Arm, which brings the cost to $180.41. My price includes shipping in the US.

The sale listing includes everything that came with the Matthews Infinity Arm when I bought it from B&H about 18 months ago. It includes:

1. (Qty 1) Matthews Infinity Arm
2. (Qty 1) Soft Carrying Case
3. (Qty 1) 1/4"-20 Male Ball Tip
4. (Qty 2) 3/8"-16 Male Ball Tip

Please note the contents above differ slightly from B&H's web site, due to a mistake in B&H's description. There is a review on B&H (dated 4/10/2018) where that reviewer also says they received two 3/8 threaded balls and one 1/4 threaded ball. So I think the B&H description is simply incorrect when it says the Matthews Infinity Arm ships with two 1/4 and one 3/8. Both mine came with one 1/4 and two 3/8.

In addition to the selling two Infinity Arms (each as a separate sale) I have the following accessories I will add to either sale if people request them:

* (Qty 1) 1/4"-20 Female Accessory Tip - $20

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1251334-REG/matthews_429626_1_1_4_20_female_accessory_tip.html

* (Qty 1) Mafer Cheese Plate Tip - $40

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1305554-REG/matthews_429626_11_mafer_cheese_plate_tip.html

* (Qty 3) 5/8" Female Accessory Tip - $30 each

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1251339-REG/matthews_429626_6_5_8_female_accessory_tip.html

* (Qty 1) Mini Matthellini Clamp Accessory Tip - $45

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1251340-REG/matthews_429626_7_mini_matthelini_clamp_accessory.html

Even though none of these items have been used, the Mini Matthellini Clamp Accessory Tip has some scratches on the ball. They do not affect its operation but they are noticeable.

I live in the Boston area and could meet up in Boston or Cambridge, in the unlikely event someone prefers local pickup.

Thank you for looking,
Sean

Optional-reading background on why I am selling:

Since a buyer is buying the seller (and I am buying the buyer), I will give more specifics but I can also point you to my YouTube channel that shows my home studio, and puts my sales in context. Like many academics, I had to rapidly move to online teaching in Spring/Summer 2020. I built a sophisticated teaching studio built around two Canon EOS RP cameras. I then replaced the RP cameras with two C70 cameras which I subsequently replaced with a R5C and R3. I am now getting around to selling items I replaced in the studio.
