Tonight my wife went outside to feed the chickens. She came back in and said there is a coyote out in the pasture. My house sits in the middle of a 10 acre pasture that is in the middle of thousands of acres of cotton fields.

He was inside our 5 wire fence but quickly walked under the fence. I followed and he was out hunting in a sudan field that I ran the shredder over yesterday.

Wow you have a special place with lots of open area! Beautiful coyote and looks like he/she is staying well fed hopefully on wild rodents not your stock. Are those Scaled Quail on the metal fence?

Sounds like you need to add an additional wire on your fence between the bottom one and the ground. The coyote images are lovely and those grouse look nice and healthy

Yes they are scaled quail. I’m really surprised the coyote looked as good as he did. We haven’t had any rain since last august and finally got rain on May 13. Rabbit populations are exploding.

It's great that your farm is so hospitable to wildlife. You're getting lots of excellent images.
