Hi All...

Burrowing Owls are some of the most expressive and endearing owls you’re likely to find. Here’s a little photo story of a typical Burrowing Owl family’s breakfast time at the burrow. Comments and suggestions always welcome.

1 - "Come on you kids. Time to wake up."

2 - "Okay, okay. We're coming."

3 - "But first, I need a little exercise."

4 - "Well, we're up now. What's for breakfast?"

5 - "I'm out hunting. I'll be there in a minute."

6 - "It's beetle bugs for breakfast kids!"

7 - "Here's some for you..."

8 - "...and some for you..."

9 - "...and some for you too."

10 - "Don't drip beetle juice on your clean feathers."

11 - "Is that all there is?"

12 - "Kids! They're never satisfied."

Oh Tom, these are some of the best and most enjoyable burrowing owl shots !!! Something very endearing about these . Such a fantastic set and story told . Amazing work and so very nicely done. Voted.

Burrowing owls are one of my favorites not only to photograph but also to watch. They are very animated and expressive, mimicking ourself, I may add. Those are wonderful images, Tom and I enjoy all of them but #9 and #10 are my picks.

Tom really nice set. I love owls but have never seen a Burrowing one yet. We did have one up here last winter out at a urban park by the great lakes for some crazy reason it seemed to survive but must have had a screwed up GPS. I look forward to Yours and Joshua's burrowing owl postings.
