The following were taken this past week at the WA coastal oyster beds. This time of year, about 4-6 weeks, at the WA and Canadian coast oysters’ beds, a fish, referred to as the midshipman, come from the deeps and spawn their eggs. When the low tides come, the fish are trapped in shallow and small pools and the fun begins. It is a feast for the Eagles, Juveniles, Blue Herons, Seagulls, and even the crows, the action is nonstop, and allot fun to photograph. So many scenes are happening at the same time and need to be ready to act.
The Eagles capture their own, but still like to steal from other eagles and others. I was following this group of Eagles that were flying closely together, waiting for some airborne action, which didn’t take to long, and hell broke loose.
Guess who wins?
Enjoy,
Chris S.
